Introduction

Cornerstone Painting Company was formed in 1997 to meet the growing demand for professional painting and refinishing services in Southeastern Michigan   Our focus is to provide high-quality services to residential, commercial, municipal and retail facilities clients primarily in the tri-county communities defined as Wayne, Oakland and Washtenaw counties.  Cornerstone Painting is now a highly successful, growing company with all the unique business challenges faced by a locally owned, expanding business.

As founders of Cornerstone Painting Company, we have served the Southeast Michigan community for a combined total of more than 22 years.  Our experience and dedication to the service industry has provided a positive force in the business and social environment alike.

Founder Profiles

Ken Kwek has brought value to customers as a paint and surface-coating consultant at the retail management level as well as commercial coatings applications sales management.  Ken’s experience enables him to provide expert advice on choosing the right products for the job and proper application, as well as working with varying products to provide expertise where it is required to match paints and stains to existing surface coatings, or simply help the customer find the perfect color. Ken prides himself on being a professional, dependable contractor who’s there when he says he’ll be there. 

Karen Kwek has achieved multiple certifications in custom and commercial finishing and designer coating applications.  Her expertise in custom residential painting techniques and applications brings a flair for creativity and an eye for detail to the Cornerstone mix.  She also brings operational leadership and customer relationship management to the company.

Our team is made up of a highly focused team of experienced, professional painters and coating specialists with the ability to execute on any level of service required by a client.  We select and manage our team to satisfy our ultimate goal, to treat each project as if it was our own.  As a complete team and individually, we pride ourselves on our legacy of quality services provided.
